Klaviyo Integration with Conjured Referrals

Modified on Mon, 29 Jul at 10:04 AM

Overview

Klaviyo can be integrated with Conjured Referrals to allow you to add customers to your mailing lists and send out emails from your Klaviyo account instead of SC Conjured Referrals. This allows you to use Klaviyo to send emails to your customers who get added to those lists and also send the in-app communication through Klaviyo. The integration also allows you to track certain events associated with those customers. These events include the following:

  • Advocate Signup
  • Referral Shared
  • Successful Referral
  • Friend Signup
  • Referral Discount Used

Use Cases

There are a few use cases in which you may want to use Klaviyo to gather customer emails:

  • You use Klaviyo for your email marketing and want to gather emails for your advocates and friends.
  • You want to segment your advocates and friends so that you can send targeted marketing emails to them.
  • You want to record events of your advocates and friends.

Set Up

To set up Klaviyo, you'll need an API public and secret Key, as well as the list ID for the list you want the Advocate and Friend to be subscribed to.

  1. From your Klaviyo Dashboard, select Settings under the Account section.
  2. Find your Public API Key and take note of it.
  3. Create a Private API Key.
  4. Give your API Key a Names, and select which scopes you want to give access to (you can grant access to all scopes, or at minimum you need: List, Profiles, Subscriptions, Events). These scopes need to be Full Access.
  5. Select Create and take note of the Private API key that comes up.
  6. Under Audience, select Lists & segments.
  7. Select the list you want to add the subscribers to. You may choose different lists for Advocates and Friends.
  8. Select Settings. On this page you will see the List ID. Take note of the ID.
  9. From the Conjured Referrals App Admin, select Integrations then Klaviyo.

  10. Enter your Public and Private API keys, as well as the List IDs. Select which events you want to log.
  11. Enable the Integration, then select Save. This will start to add your customers to Klaviyo when they subscribe, as well as start logging the selected events.
