Can I send out my emails through Klaviyo?
Klaviyo can be integrated with Conjured Referrals to allow you to add customers to your mailing lists and send out emails from your Klaviyo account instead of SC Conjured Referrals.
Why?
We want to give you the flexibility of designing and sending the communication emails out yourself! We do this by sending events to Klaviyo to trigger the emails to be sent out. These events emails include:
- Advocate Signup
- Referral Shared
- Successful Referral
- Friend Signup
- Referral Discount Used
You can set up email flows for each campaign you have activated.
How to Set Up
Step 1: Connect SC Conjured Referrals to your Klaviyo account
- Go to Integrations > Klaviyo
- Submit Public API Key and Private API Key
- Check/Enable "Send emails to customer from Klaviyo instead of app"
- Enable the integration
- Press "Save"
Step 2: Create your Flows in your Klaviyo account
You will have to create flows from scratch in Klaviyo for each email that needs to be sent out (e.g, Advocate Discount Email, Friend Claim Email, etc.)
- Add "Trigger Filter" with the "campaign" event property equal to the campaign ID in question.
To find your campaign ID, open the campaign in Conjured and check the URL bar. You should see a number at the end of the URL, before the "?" - that's your campaign ID. For example, in the screenshot below, the campaign ID is 9476.
- Select any Metric of the app as a flow trigger. The name of the metrics related to the app emails start with "Referrals -" (e.g. Referrals - Advocate Discount Email, Referrals - Friend Claim Email)
If you don't see a list of metrics, head back to the integrations page on the SC Conjured Referrals app and go to Klaviyo Integration. Disable and enable "Send emails to customer from Klaviyo instead of app" setting once again.
(The app will trigger a dummy metric in Klaviyo which will lead to the metrics showing up in your Klaviyo account.) - After the trigger, Select an Email action as the next step of the flow
- Set up the Email
- Enter the Name, Subject and Sender of the Email as you wish
- Select the Email Template and write the content and Save
- For dynamic values (e.g, Advocate/Friend Name, Discount Code, Redemption Link etc), you must use the same variables which are listed in the Campaign Email Settings on the SC Conjured Referrals app.
- You can also see list of all the variables in events of the Metric
- Select any Metric
- Select Activity Feed and Click Down arrow of any event
- Select any Metric
- For dynamic values (e.g, Advocate/Friend Name, Discount Code, Redemption Link etc), you must use the same variables which are listed in the Campaign Email Settings on the SC Conjured Referrals app.
- Uncheck "Skip recently emailed profiles" from the settings.
- Change the Email status to Live when you are all done
- Enter the Name, Subject and Sender of the Email as you wish
