Function of the Update Button when creating a new campaign

When creating a new campaign you might see a button that states: "Update" or "Update All" in the Appearance Step or Email Settings Step.

When should I press this button and what does this button do?


Suppose you made it to the appearance step or the email step and notice you've made a mistake in the campaign details and go back to Step 2 to fix it. In that case, you might need to click the update button in the apparance and the email settings page to update the content in those sections to be in order with what you created.



For example: You initially set up the campaign for advocates to get 10% off if they refer a friend. You go through all the steps and notice that this information is automatically set for you in the content throughout the app (in the appearance and the emails). You realise you want to make it 20% off instead so you go back to edit this however the appearance and the emails will not automatically be updated this time. You will have to either manually change this information in those settings or click "update" in the appearance and email settings step to reflect that change.
