SC Product Options is a powerful e-commerce tool that allows you to create, edit, and offer customizable options to your customers all while bypassing Shopify's 100-variant limit.

With SC Product Options, you can offer customers a way to customize their product, pay for a donation, preview their customization, and more. There are a variety of options to create, including (but not limited to):

• Drop-down menus
• Checkboxes
• Radio buttons
• Swatches
• Text boxes
• File uploads

Availability

Product Options is currently available on Shopify.

Pricing and Plans

SC Product Options offers two price plans, each possessing their own set of features.

The cost of each plan is charged directly through Shopify and will appear on your Shopify invoice.

Choose our annual plan to enjoy TWO months for free and save up to 17%, providing you with an even more cost-effective solution for your needs.

If you would like to change your Product Options price plan, you can do so by navigating to Settings > Account Settings from within the app admin.

Features & Functionalities

Create and Edit Unlimited Options

Because SC Product Options doesn't create additional variants when creating your options, you can create as many options as your store needs! This includes, but is not limited to:

• Drop-down menus
• Checkboxes
• Radio buttons
• Swatches
• Date pickers
• File uploads

Create Image and Color Swatches

Offer your customers the ability to see what they are customizing with image or color swatches.

Swatches can be customized to show your customers what exact customization they're choosing, including increasing the size of the swatch or other more complex adjustments that can be completed through our partners at HeyCarson.

Fully Customize Your Options

SC Product Options can be fully customized to fit your store's aesthetic, including how your customers interact with the cart.

• Through Product Options' Display settings, you can make adjustments to your option's colors, borders, font styles, and more;
• Within the Edit in Cart settings, you even have control over how customers are able to edit their options from the cart page;
• And from the Frontend settings, you can manage how the additional cost(s) of your options interact with your Shopify product price.

Product Options can also be customized using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript if you require additional functionality or more intensive customization.

Use Conditional Logic

Conditional logic allows you to show and hide options from your customers based on what they've chosen.

This feature allows you to assign a cost to option types that are otherwise not able to be priced, like file uploads or text boxes.

Automatically Integrate with Shopify

Before you begin: We strongly recommend duplicating your active Shopify theme before making any changes. This gives you a clean backup to roll back to if needed.

The installation process differs depending on which version of SC Product Options your store is running. To identify your version, open the app and check whether an Installation tab is visible in the navigation.

If you see the Installation tab — you are on V2. Follow the V2 installation steps below.

If you do not see the Installation tab — you are on V3. Follow the V3 steps below.

V3 installation (current version)

V3 requires no manual code changes to your theme. freshdesk

From within SC Product Options, select your theme and click Locate App Block. This will take you to the Theme Customizer.

In the App Embeds section, enable the SC Product Options app embed.

Click Save, then close the tab.

That's it — your options will now appear on your product pages.

V2 installation

V2 requires Liquid code to be manually added to your theme. There are three ways to complete this:

Automatic install — the app adds the code to your theme for you.

Expert install — our team completes the installation on your behalf.

Manual install — you follow a step-by-step guide to add the code yourself.

Automatic install

When you first install SC Product Options, you will be taken to a screen that highlights the importance of running the automatic installation. If you don't see this screen, hover over Need Help? in the top-right corner and select Theme Installation.

Select Begin automatic update to choose which theme to install on. After confirming you have a backup, you can proceed. If your theme is not compatible, the app will notify you and you can roll back to the previous state. When an installation does not complete in full, reverting automatically creates an installation request for our team. freshdesk

Expert install

This option creates a ticket with our installation team, which is completed manually on a rotational basis. You will receive an email notification upon completion. 

Hover over Need Help? and select Liquid installation.

Under the automatic update section, select expert theme update service.

Choose your theme and click Submit Request.

Manual install
