Can I send emails from my own Domain?

Modified on Tue, 07 May 2024 at 03:16 AM

There are two options to do this. For both of these options, you must be on a paid plan.

A) Through App Settings

1) Settings > Customized Email Sending Domain

2) Enter the domain you wish to utilise and click Submit. On submitting the domain, the app will return some domain records.

3) Add these details in your DNS provider (e.g. GoDaddy etc) where the submitted domain is registered. Once the details are added to your DNS provider, go back to our app and click Verify.  It takes a maximum of 48 hours to get verified by your DNS provider.

A CNAME record is not effective without an A record. Typically, you would need an A record to point to the IP address of your web hosting server. Then, you could use a CNAME record to alias that domain.

4) IMPORTANT STEP: Once the domain has been verified, update the email address in the "From Email" in the email settings.*

And you're done!

If you wish to change the domain, you can remove the current submitted domain by clicking the Remove button.

*Please note that if step 4 is missed, emails will be sent from our domain.

B)  Through SendGrid Integration

You can have an account with SendGrid and change it from there following this article.
