Search tags allow customers to filter store locations on your map. This article covers how to create, manage, enable, and disable search tags in Store Locator.
Creating a search tag
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Search tags.
- Click the Create tag button.
- In the modal, enter a tag name.
- Assign the tag to locations (optional).
- Click Save.
Editing a search tag
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Search tags.
- In the Search tags table, click the tag you want to edit.
- The editing modal opens pre-filled with the current name and assigned locations.
- Make your changes and click Save.
Enabling and disabling tags
Tags can be toggled individually using the switch in the table.
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Search tags.
- Use the tabs (All / Enabled / Disabled) to filter the view.
- Click Save to apply after toggling.
Assigning tags to locations
Tags can be assigned for individual stores and in bulk, even after you have created them.
Individual location assignment
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Locations.
- Click any row in the locations table to open that location's edit page.
- Find the Search tags section.
- Search for a tag and mark it.
- Click the Select button.
- Click Save. The tag is applied to that specific location immediately.
Bulk assignment
If you did not assign locations during the creation, you can do it later as well.
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Search tags.
- Click an existing tag to open the edit screen.
- In the modal, find the Assign location section.
- Search for and mark all locations you want to assign this tag to.
- Click Save. The tag is applied to all selected locations immediately.
- The bulk assignment feature is reserved for higher-tier plans. See the pricing page.
- You can also create search tags on individual location pages. If you create them there, they are assigned to that location automatically.
- Select multiple tags using checkboxes to bulk delete, bulk enable, or bulk disable.
- Customers can choose how search tags interact: showing locations including ALL of the selected tags, or showing locations including ANY of the selected tags.
- Tags that are not assigned to visible locations are not displayed to customers on the map.
- Hidden search tags are not displayed.
