Upgrade to SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals Version 2

Overview

There are 2 versions of SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals, Version 1 and Version 2. Version 1 of SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals is no longer available for download while version 2 is free to download and use.

To update your current version of SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals, you will need to uninstall version 1 of SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals and install version 2.

Caution

This article requires technical knowledge and prior experience with Liquid code. If you are not comfortable with this, please contact our Merchant Success team for further assistance. Please note that you are not able to go back to Version 1 once you upgrade.

Step 1: Remove Version 1

From the Shopify admin, select Apps.
Select SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals.
Select Customers.
Select Export.
Select the CSV file and open with Excel or comparable software.
Note: We strongly suggest making a copy of this exported file. The next step will instruct you to delete information from this export.
Delete all columns, except:
- Email Address
- Points Balance
Change the Email Address and Points Balance fields to Email and Balance.
Select Save.
Navigate back to SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals and select Program Settings.
Select Base Reward Points.
Note your reward point values.
Note: We suggest recording these in a notepad or similar software. These values will become important when you set up your loyalty program in version 2.
Select Settings.
Select Global Settings.
Select the toggle switch on the Program is active for this shop button to disable your loyalty program.
Select Save.
Contact our Merchant Success team and request a code removal.
From the Shopify admin, select Apps and sales channels.
Next to SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals, select Uninstall.

Version 1 has now been successfully removed from your store.

Step 2: Install Version 2

To continue upgrading to Version 2, please follow the steps below.

Visit the Shopify App Store listing of SC Loyalty Rewards Referrals.
Select Install.
Select Log in.
Select Continue With Latest Version.
Select a pricing plan
Note: You can change the pricing plan later on, and the app does possess a free plan.
Select Accept and Continue.
Set up a Loyalty Program.
Note: We strongly suggest leaving your program turned off until you're able to make additional edits in the next steps.
Import your Customers into Loyalty Points.
