Overview

Version 2 of SC Loyalty Rewards gives you the flexibility to import or export your customer's information from another loyalty app, into SC Loyalty Rewards.


Setup

Importing Customers

Your customer information should already be exported into a .CSV file in order to perform an import.

The import functionality is not meant to create new Customers, rather, it adjusts the balance of your already existing customers.


Upon installation, the App gathers your customer data so that you don't have to import the Customers.


  1. From the Shopify admin, select Apps.
  2. Select SC Loyalty Rewards.
  3. Select Customers.

    From the side navigation bar, select Earning Points (second from the top)

  4. Select Import.

    On the right-hand side, select Import (two buttons are side-by-side; the one on the left is Import)

  5. Select Choose File and use the file manager to select the .CSV file you would like imported.

    Note: The.csv file must contain the following columns: 'email' and 'balance'.

    In the pop-up window on the left-hand side, select choose File and choose your CSV file to be imported
  6. Select Set Balance.

    Note: The Adjust Balance option is only used if you are importing customer balances into a currently-active program.

    Underneath the Choose File button, select Set Balance

  7. Select Import.

    In the bottom-right corner, select Import


Exporting Customers

  1. From the Shopify admin, select Apps.
  2. Select SC Loyalty Rewards.
  3. Select Customers.

    From the side navigation bar, select Earning Points (second from the top)

  4. Select Export Results.

  5. The following message will appear, and your results will be sent to the store owner's email address.

FAQ

What information does the export contain?

When exporting from SC Loyalty Rewards, the .CSV file will contain the following information:

  • Customer Name
  • Customer Email Address
  • Customer Point Balance

Who / where does the export get sent to?

When performing an export from SC Loyalty Rewards the .CSV file will be sent to the email address that's on file for the store owner.
