Language Settings

The Language Settings feature in the Keystone Loyalty Rewards app allows merchants to control the language used throughout the app interface. Users can choose to let the app automatically match their Shopify language or manually select a preferred language from a wide list of supported translations.

Language options can be found under:
Settings > Language Settings


Key Features

1. Automatic Language Detection

In Automatic mode, the app reads your Shopify store’s language settings and displays the interface in that language.

How It Works

  • The app checks Shopify’s primary language

  • If the language is supported, it applies it immediately

  • If not supported, it defaults to English

  • Automatically updates if Shopify’s language later changes

  • No manual adjustments needed

  • Ensures consistency with your store’s default language

  • Automatically stays synced with Shopify

2. Manual Language Selection

Manual mode lets users choose a specific language, regardless of Shopify settings.

How It Works

  • Switch to Manual

  • Select a language from the dropdown

  • The app updates instantly

  • The chosen language persists across sessions

Changing the Language

Using Automatic Mode

  1. Go to Settings → Language Settings

  2. Select Automatic

  3. App immediately switches to your Shopify language

Using Manual Mode

  1. Go to Settings → Language Settings

  2. Select Manual

  3. Click dropdown to open language list

  4. Choose desired language

  5. App updates instantly

Example:
Mode: Manual → Selected: Spanish
Result: All app interface elements display in Spanish.

What Changes When You Switch Languages

Updates:

  • Navigation labels

  • Buttons and action text

  • Headings and page titles

  • Form and field labels

  • Settings descriptions

  • Success/error/warning messages

  • Table headers and statuses

  • Tooltips and help text

Does NOT change:

  • Customer data

  • Transaction information

  • Custom reward names

  • Any merchant-written content
