Enabling Google Services in Store Locator

Modified on Fri, 21 Aug at 3:28 AM

The Google services settings page (formerly "Map Behaviour") controls Google-powered features for your store locator's search bar: Google Autocomplete, My Location, Search by name, and a Region selector. These are paid features on eligible plans.

Accessing Google services

Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Google services.

Available toggles

  • Google Autocomplete — suggests addresses and place names as the customer types.
  • My Location — lets customers search from their current location, with an option to use their real location automatically on load.
  • Search by name — lets customers search locations by store name, not just address.
  • Region selector — restricts or biases search results to a chosen country/region.

For Autocomplete, the Places API and Places API (New) must be enabled in your Google Cloud project first. See Enabling Autocomplete on Google Maps Platform.
