Enable Google Autocomplete to allow your customers to search based on address, store name, zip/postal code, and more.
Enabling APIs
This feature requires the Places API enabled on your Google Maps API. For more on this, see Add Google Maps API to Store Locator. To view your list of enabled APIs:
- Go to the Google Maps Platform.
- Select APIs & Services in the left-hand sidebar.
- From the list of APIs on the Dashboard, look for Places API and Places API (New).
- Select Enable for both APIs.
Using Google Autocomplete may use multiple calls per search to ensure results are returned. Keep monitoring your Google Cloud console usage and billing.
Store Locator setup
Once you have made sure the APIs are enabled:
- From your Store Locator admin, go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Google services.
- Toggle Google Autocomplete on.
- Save changes. Google Autocomplete is now enabled on your store's map.
