Enabling Autocomplete on Google Maps Platform

Enable Google Autocomplete to allow your customers to search based on address, store name, zip/postal code and more.


Enabling APIs


This feature will require you to have the Places API on your Google Maps API enabled (for more information on this topic, read our Add Google Maps API to Store Locator article. To view your list of enabled APIs:


1. Go to the Google Maps Platform.

2. Select APIs and Services on the left hand side bar.

3. From the list of APIs on the Dashboard, look for Places API and Places API (New).

4. Select Enable for both APIs.

Important Note

Using Google Autocomplete may use up multiple calls per search to ensure that we are able to get these search results. Make sure you are continuing to monitor your Google Cloud Console usage and billing.


Store Locator Setup

Once you made sure APIs are enabled:


1. From your Store Locator Admin, go to Settings.

2. Select Search Settings.

3. In the Google Autocomplete section, select Enable Google Autocomplete.
4. Save changes. 
From here, Google Autocomplete is now enabled on your store's map.
