Understanding confidence levels in AI Redirects

Modified on Mon, 15 Jun at 3:16 AM

The confidence level sets how sure the AI must be before it redirects on its own.

  • Flexible (broad match): acts from about 10% confidence. Catches the most links, but matches can be looser.
  • Balanced (recommended): acts from about 41% confidence. A good fit for day to day 404 management.
  • High (strict match): acts from about 71% confidence. Only near identical matches, best for typos and small URL changes.
  • Anything below your chosen level counts as low confidence and is not redirected automatically. It is sent to your fallback page (if AI Fallback is on) or waits for your approval.

Tip

If too many links are being skipped, move toward Flexible. If matches feel too loose, move toward High.
