Overview

SC Product Options is a robust options app that helps you offer more to your customers. You can use it to offer additional sizing, color selection, fabric types, and more.

Set Up

1. Install SC Product Options

1. Navigate to the Bold Product Options page in the Shopify app store.
2. If it prompts you, enter your .myshopify.com URL.
3. Accept the App Permissions, then select Install App.
4. Select Start Free Trial to approve the future monthly charges.
   Note: If you have previously installed the app, you will be prompted to pay the first month's fee right away.
5. Read through and accept the terms and conditions.

2. Select a Plan

SC Product Options has two price plans which are currently available: The Basic plan, and Premium plan. For more information on the features included within these two plans, please visit our Bold Product Options app page.

When SC Product Options is installed to your store, it will default to the Basic plan.

To adjust which plan your store is currently on, please follow these steps:

1. From within the SC Product Options app, select Settings.
2. Select Account Settings.
3. Select Upgrade Plan, then select the Premium plan.

3. Install the Liquid Code

How you install SC Product Options depends on which version your store is running. To find out, open the app and check whether an Installation tab is visible.

If you see the Installation tab — you are on V2. Liquid code must be added to your theme. There are three ways to do this:

Automatic install — the app adds the required code to your theme automatically.

Expert install — one of our experts completes the installation on your behalf.

Manual install — follow our step-by-step guide to add the code yourself.

If you do not see the Installation tab — you are on V3. No code changes are needed. Simply enable the SC Product Options app embed in your theme:

From within SC Product Options, select your theme and click Locate App Block.

In the App Embeds section of the Theme Customizer, enable the SC Product Options embed.

Click Save, then close the tab.

Alert: Making changes or updates to your theme after installation may cause interruptions with SC Product Options. It is highly recommended to contact our Merchant Success team if any theme changes are made.

4. Create Options & Option Sets

With SC Product Options, you will be creating options for your products, as well as option sets. It's important to understand the difference between them so you can easily create them.

An option set is a group that keeps all options together, in order to display on a product page on your store. The options are what is added within a set, to be different customizable items for your customers to select.

5. Create Conditional Logic (optional)

Conditional Logic is the ability to make certain options appear when your customers make specific selections on your store.
