Create and Edit Your Reward Coupons

Modified on Fri, 14 Jun at 1:22 AM

Overview

Reward Coupons are how your customers can redeem their points for either a monetary discount, or shipping discount, on future purchases.

This feature uses Shopify's Discount Code functionality to provide your customers with their reward code.

To create and edit your reward coupons, please follow the steps below.

Setup

  1. From the Shopify admin, select Apps.
  2. Select SC Loyalty Rewards.
  3. Select Rewarding Customers, then Coupon Rewards.

From the side navigation bar, select Rewarding Customers. From within the Rewarding Customers dropdown menu, select Coupon Rewards (first from the top).

  4. Select Create New Rule.

In the middle, or the bottom-middle if you have already-existing rules, select Create New Rule

  5. Select the Reward Type (dollar off, percentage off, free shipping), Name your reward, then set a Cost and value forthe coupon.

On the left-hand side, enter in the reward details: the reward type (dollar off, percentage off, or free shipping), below that the Reward Name, below that the Reward Cost (number of points), and below that, the Reward Value in dollars

  6. Select Save.

Note: The reward is always turned off by default.

To the very right of the Reward Type, select Save

  7. To edit the reward, select the ellipsis beside the coupon.

To edit the reward, select the ellipsis to the very right of the one you want to adjust

  8. Select Edit Rule.

From the ellipsis dropdown menu, select Edit Rule (first from the top)

  9. Adjust the reward accordingly and select Save.

Note: The reward coupons do not aggregate or "stack". A reward level needs to be created for each discount amount you want to provide to your customers.

Make the necessary adjustments, then save the changes
