Product Discount Rewards

Overview

Product Discount Rewards let customers redeem loyalty points for discount codes that apply to selected products or entire collections. Discounts can be fixed amounts or percentages and support subscription handling, minimum requirements, and customer eligibility. Unlike order discounts, these apply only to qualifying items.

Restricted Rewards

• Not visible to customers
• Free (0 points)
• Automatically claimed by other features

Discount Types

• Fixed Value Discount: Set dollar amount off each qualifying product (e.g., $15 off selected products)
• Percentage Discount: Percentage off qualifying items (e.g., 20% off Winter Collection)

Product Selection

• Specific Products: Choose individual products to qualify.
• Collections: Apply discount to all products in one or multiple collections, including newly added products.
• Mixed Selection: Combine individual products and collections under one reward.

Payment Type Options

• One-time purchases only
• Subscriptions only (first payment, multiple recurring, or all recurring payments)
• Both one-time and subscription purchases

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Purchase Value (e.g., Spend $40+ on qualifying items)
• Minimum Item Quantity (e.g., Buy 3+ qualifying items)
• No minimum

Customer Eligibility

• All customers
• Specific customers
• Specific Shopify customer segments (e.g., VIPs, high spenders, inactive customers)

Usage Limits

Each claimed discount code can be limited to a certain number of uses (default: 1). Customers may claim the reward again once the code is fully used.

Discount Combinations

Control whether the discount can stack with other order, product, or shipping discounts.

How Customers Claim and Use

• Claiming: Customer clicks claim, points deducted, unique code generated
• Using: Add qualifying products, meet minimum requirements, enter code at checkout

Refunds and Reversals

• Automatic Refunds: When discount code or reward is deleted, or collection removed
• Manual Refunds: Customer or merchant can refund unused or partially used codes; fully used codes cannot be refunded

Product Availability

If a product becomes unavailable, the code remains valid for other qualifying items and when the product restocks.

Shopify Synchronization

Claimed rewards automatically create Shopify discount codes with product/collection targeting and are usable immediately at checkout.
